Kenneth Hensley of The Coming Home Network recently released a brilliant, charitable eBook titled: What Was The Reformation? And Why Did It Happen?
It is honest and places appropriate weight on both sides, while studiously pinpointing the perfect storm of the 16th century.
In short, with humanism, literacy, and nationalism on the rise, the Reformation was bound to happen. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t use hindsight to sift through the remains and learn a lesson or two.
